A big thank you for all who participated in the Fall Workday on October 6, 2012. With your help, we were able to spread wood chips on the trails, stockpile buckthorn for chipping, add plantings to the edible garden, and continue with enhancement of the frog meadow. You may notice that the central pathway and surrounding clumps of buckthorn have now been cleared. A number of dead ash trees have been removed.
Work has continued on the frog meadow with additional clearing of invasives. Native grasses have been planted in areas marked by the orange flags. Once an appropriate habitat has been created along the fringe areas of the pond, the Northern Leopard Frog will be re-introduced.
